How many Highlanders have there been in the Forbes family?

There have been 5 boats.

The First, in 1955, a 72-foot converted Canadian corvette that served the Dominion Navy in World War II.

The Second, a 98-foot steel Hulled flagship for entertaining corporate America during the ensuing decade.

The Third, was completed in March 1967, at Aalsmeer in the Netherlands. On July, 1967, it arrived in New York from Istanbul, with the entire Forbes family aboard.

The Fourth, Highlander IV was built by the same firm and marine architect as its predecessor.

The Fifth, in 1985, a 151-foot boat was launched. It boasts five guest state rooms, six salons, six state rooms for crew and fourteen heads.

On average we have 80 events and 7 weeks of guest legs.

April or May through November

What does it do from Dec through Feb?
After a long season of travel and entertaining thousands of guests, the Highlander is given a rest for a few months for some well deserved and much needed maintenance. She gets a thorough going over, from top to bottom and from stem to stern. This allows us to get her ready for entertaining the next few thousand guests!
